City of Pittsburgh Announces 2024 Dollar Bank Cinema in the Park Schedule
PITTSBURGH — The CitiParks Office of Special Events is pleased to announce the official “Dollar Bank Cinema in the Park” schedule for the coming summer. Moviegoers can bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy an evening of cinema under the stars in various neighborhood locations. All movies are presented to the public free of charge and begin at dusk.
Kicking off in June, the 2024 movie season will showcase recent blockbuster hits “Barbie,” “Kung Fu Panda 4,” and “Wonka,” and beloved family classics such as “Toy Story” and “Pete’s Dragon”. Favorite weekly locations will return, with movies taking place at Arsenal Park, Banksville Park, Brookline Memorial Park, Flagstaff Hill, Grandview Park Bandstand, Highland Park, McBride Park, Ormsby Park, Riverview Park (following “Stars at Riverview” concerts), Schenley Plaza, and the West End/Elliott Overlook.
Audio descriptive services will be available for two engagements – “Wonka,” playing June 23 at Schenley Plaza, and for “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” on July 20 in Riverview Park.
Additionally, in partnership with Film Pittsburgh, a special presentation of “The Peanut Butter Falcon” on July 28 will offer a preview of this fall’s ReelAbilities Film Festival.
August will bring the return of a popular twist: a month-long schedule of pop-up films at varying locations throughout the City of Pittsburgh.
