Committee and safety partners meet June 25 to discuss crash data analysis and focus areas for safety plan update

This year ODOT is updating the Transportation Safety Action Plan, which guides our decisions and investments to make roads safer for everyone, including people who walk, roll and bike. 

The steering committee for this plan will hold a virtual workshop meeting noon - 3 p.m. June 25 on Zoom with partners representing diverse safety interests. The meeting is open to the public and there is an opportunity to submit comments.   

On the meeting agenda: 

  • Highlight implementation of the 2021 Transportation Safety Action Plan.
  • Discuss preliminary results from a recent analysis of crash data.
  • Propose areas to focus on for the 2026 Transportation Safety Action Plan.

How to submit a comment 

You may submit a comment about transportation safety in your community. We encourage you to submit written comments before the meeting. You may also comment verbally at the meeting.  

Written comments: Complete this online form or email your comment to safety@odot.oregon.gov. Written comments are due by noon on June 24. We will share all written comments with workshop participants prior to the meeting.  

If you submit your comment after the deadline, we’ll include it at the next scheduled meeting in July 2025.  

Comment at the meeting: You may comment verbally during the first few minutes of the meeting, but your speaking time will be limited.
