Final reminder: OR 47 full road closure June 16 - August 21

You may have seen our crews in Mist over the last few weeks while we worked on clearing vegetation and setting up the work zone to prepare for construction and closure.  Plan ahead – this full road closure starts next week!

From June 16 to August 21, you can expect:

• OR 47 to stay closed on either side of Messing Creek in Mist
• A signed detour to get around the closure using OR 47, Apiary Road and U.S. 30.
• Crews working Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Occasional night work as needed.
• Lane and shoulder closures with flaggers helping direct traffic as needed.
• Construction noise and delays.

The new culvert will help improve road drainage and fish passage through the area.

Pay attention in the work zone, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.  Remember that fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
