Skipanon River Bridge Repairs

We’re repairing the Skipanon River Bridge to keep it in good working order and to allow some heavier vehicles to use it again. To do this work, we need to close Fort Stevens Highway Spur Road on either side of the bridge for approximately 60 days.

When work starts and the temporary closure is in place, you can expect:

• The full road closure to start on June 16 and last approximately 60 days.
• A signed detour to get around the closure using OR 104, E Harbor Drive, Marlin Avenue and U.S. 101.
• No pedestrian access to cross the bridge.
• Construction noise and delays.

Pay attention in the work zone, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.  Remember that fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
