Salt Creek Bridge Replacement

We're working to replace the OR 58 Salt Creek Bridge near milepost 43, east of Oakridge.

We're using automated flagger assistant devices to help guide you through the work zone and to keep workers safe. 

When you see an automated flagger assistant device, remember to:

• Stop when the light is red and the flag is down.
• Wait for the arm to be fully up before you start moving.
• Drive carefully when the light is flashing orange and the flag is up.

Please note, there is a person nearby controlling the automated flagger assistant device. You may not see them, but they are there to make sure traffic is moving smoothly.

If you're driving through the area, here's what you can expect:

• Crews working during the day.
• Single lane closures with traffic controlled by an automated flagger assistant device.
• Flaggers to help direct traffic as needed.
• Construction noise and delays.

We're starting to build a temporary detour bridge, eventually shift traffic onto it. Stay tuned – we'll send out an update when we're ready to shift traffic to the temporary detour bridge!
