Opening March 26 – Say hello to New Dolores Way near the I-5 Aurora-Donald Interchange!
Oregon Department of Transportation sent this bulletin at 03/25/2025 02:30 PM PDT
We're making progress on changing this exit into what's called a diverging diamond interchange.
Good news – we're ready to open the New Dolores Way NE intersection! Starting Wednesday, March 26 at 10 a.m., old Dolores Way NE will close and traffic will need to use New Dolores Way NE.
Don't forget to slow down on I-5 in the work zone
Slow your roll – this is a work zone!
Our construction equipment is moving in and out of the area often using the left lane – you should avoid using the fast lane in the work zone.
Other impacts you can expect:
Crews working daily, Sunday through Thursday with occasional night and weekend work.Up to two lanes closed nightly in either direction on I-5 as needed from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Other roads in the project area to have single lane closures as needed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Reduced speed to 55 mph in the I-5 work zone.
Construction noise and delays.
Use caution as you drive through the work zone, there are grooves in the pavement along the median shoulder.

Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember that fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
Don't keep this a secret – help us spread the word!
