About this project
We are designing improvements to enhance safety at the railroad crossing. These changes will provide a safer experience for all users.
The Pole Line Lane railroad crossing is located in Baker County, near U.S. 30 at milepost 44. It is approximately 3.5 miles south of Haines and 5.5 miles north of Baker City.
Union Pacific Railroad operates the rail and owns the right of way. Baker County owns and maintains Pole Line Lane.
Project schedule
The project is in design through 2025 and is scheduled to bid in December 2025. Construction is scheduled for 2026.
