PORTLAND -- Crews will begin overnight closures of all I-5 southbound lanes on the lower deck of the Marquam Bridge, along with other single lane and ramp closures connecting to I-405 starting Sunday Nov. 17 through Thursday Nov. 21 for routine bridge inspections.

The overnight closures will begin at 9 p.m. and end at 5 a.m.

Traffic Impacts

Nov. 17-21

  • All southbound I-5 lanes on lower deck of the Marquam Bridge will close overnight, starting at 9 p.m.
  • This closure will cause several lane reductions on connecting ramps from or to I-405.
  • The Southwest 5th Ave. on-ramp to I-405 will be closed overnight with a signed detour in place.
  • The I-5 southbound closure, exit ramp lane reductions and ramp closure will run from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., starting Sunday night, Nov. 17. We expect to finish inspections by 5 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22.

Please plan ahead. Use I-405 south to the I-5 south merge to avoid the Marquam Bridge.
