Demolishing Hall Boulevard overpass

Demolishing Hall Boulevard overpass in Tigard above OR 217

Demolishing the Hall Boulevard overpass in Tigard during a weekend OR 217 closure.

The OR 217 Auxiliary Lanes Project remains on schedule for a fall 2025 completion. In March, crews demolished the Hall Boulevard overpass in Tigard during a full weekend closure of the highway. Step by step, we are rebuilding the overpass to accommodate the new auxiliary lanes underneath with completion planned this fall.

A temporary pedestrian bridge is in place during overpass construction, and people are regularly using it to get across OR 217 at Pfaffle Street. This spring and summer, expect to see activity on several overpasses in the project area as crews work to upgrade guardrails and bridge fencing and complete the expanded sidewalks on Denney Road and Hall Boulevard in Beaverton.

Stay up to date on the project and read construction updates at www.hwy217.org.

The I-5 Boone Bridge Replacement Project will provide a bridge that can withstand major earthquakes.

The I-5 Boone Bridge is an important bridge on Interstate 5, but it is not earthquake-ready. After an earthquake, we need the Boone Bridge to be open for travel to support emergency response and access to services. Read more about how the I-5 Boone Bridge Replacement Project will improve the region's earthquake readiness.
