Dear Safe Routes to School enthusiasts,
We are pleased to share exciting new updates for our Safe Routes to School grant program, accepting applications February 12 through March 25!
SRTS Webinar Recording: Here is an informational webinar offering details and tips for applications. View the recording, along with additional information and resources, on our website. Note, there is a correction to the video: 2025-26 program guidelines will be published one week prior to grant solicitations.
OTC update: At the January 24 Oregon Transportation Commission meeting, commissioners approved the Safe Routes to School updated rules - including a reduced cash match for construction projects that meet certain selection criteria. Review this exciting news, along with other updates, via the SRTS webinar recording linked above.
Grant program descriptions: Review our kickoff public notice to see the latest grant program descriptions. We will share other updates closer to the solicitation kickoff on February 12.
The Safe Routes to School program is helping us carry out our Strategic Action Plan and Oregon Transportation Plan priorities, which include a focus on equity and creating a modern, multimodal transportation system for all Oregonians. We are excited to see all the great applications that come in!
