Southbound I-205 Temporary Lane Closure for Emergency Pothole Repair Extended through the Night

Update: Crews will extend the pothole repair into the night.

The left lane on southbound I-205 between OR 99E and OR43 is closed through the night for emergency pothole repair. Anticipate potential delays.

Please visit the project website for the most up to date information.

Traffic Impacts

  • OR 43 northbound single lane closure with trucks leaving and entering the highway.

  • Clackamette Drive single lane closure with temporary signal and flagger.

  • Local roads will experience lane closures and traffic restrictions during construction.

  • Ongoing: Crews are performing utility work in West Lin on southbound OR 43 between Willson Street and Holly Street through January 2024.

River Impacts

  • The Willamette River remains accessible during Abernethy Bridge construction; the Sportcraft Boat Ramp is open.

  • 'No wake' zones are in place until 2024 through the bridge construction area on the Willamette River.

  • River users will notice several large barges anchored in the river and are required to stay 200 feet away from them. River users are urged to use extreme caution, and all boats must travel between the green and red buoys.

Bike and Pedestrian Impacts

  • Ongoing: The pedestrian/bike path extending from McClean House in West Linn under the Abernethy Bridge to the Arch Bridge is temporarily closed for safety reasons, due to erosion issues.

  • Bike and pedestrian routes through construction zones are in place. People walking and riding a bike need to use caution when traveling through the project area. Follow signs and stay alert.

  • OR 43 and OR 99E bike and pedestrian access restrictions.

Construction has started on the project’s first phase and will last through 2025. You can visit Tripcheck.com for real-time traffic impacts. Stay safe out there. Pay attention to signs and travel safely through the construction zone.
