April 16, 2019
Dear Safe Routes to School friends,
We are pleased to open the solicitation for Safe Routes to School Non-infrastructure grants and the Project Identification Program! The solicitation will run through May 31, 2019. Please find application materials on our website.
- The ODOT Safe Routes to School Non-infrastructure grants provides funds to communities to provide education and encouragement programs that address barriers to students walking and biking to school.
- The ODOT Safe Routes to School Project Identification Program helps schools and communities develop a local plan that identifies infrastructure projects and non-infrastructure programs that address barriers to students walking and biking to school.
We have two more in-person workshops coming up so you can learn more about how to apply. Anyone can also access the virtual workshop to learn more. The workshop covers SRTS Non-infrastructure grant and Infrastructure grant specifics including eligibility, proposal selection process, match requirements and proposal development tips. Target audiences include representatives from cities, counties, tribes, transit districts and public schools.
