Date & Time: 07/16/2024 at 6:50 a.m.
Location: 900 Block of W. Hefner Rd.
Victim: Richardson, Samantha Dawn (B/F – 09/28/1999)
Arrested: Madison, Michael Ray (B/M – 10/09/1953)
Narrative: On July 16th, 2024, Oklahoma City Police were called to the area of N. Western Ave. and W. Hefner Rd. on reports of people on fire. When officers arrived, Samantha Richardson was found along with a second victim suffering from severe burns. A witness helped extinguish the flames on Richardson, prior to the emergency services arriving on scene.
It appears the two victims were set on fire intentionally by the suspect, Michael Madison, while they were sleeping. Madison fled the scene but later returned and was taken into custody. Madison was originally interviewed and booked on complaints of Arson and Maiming. A complaint of First-Degree Murder has been affixed. The two victims were transported to local hospitals. Sadly, Ms. Richardson died from her injuries this past Thursday, March 13, 2025.
