Date & Time of Incident: 8/2/2024 at 12:20 AM.
Location: 2644 S. Miller
Victim: Waiting on positive ID from the ME’s office.
Deceased suspect: Rounds, Steven (W/M, DOB: 11/17/1957)
Narrative: On 8/2/2024, police were called to 2644 S. Miller regarding an ADW. When officers arrived, they discovered the bodies of the victim and the shooting suspect, Steven Rounds. Mr. Rounds appeared to have died by suicide. The M.E. determined the victim, whose identity we are still in the process of confirming, was shot to death. The victim had apparently been dead for days when Mr. Rounds died by shooting himself.
Once positive identification of the deceased occurs and next-of-kin notification has been made, the victim’s name will be released.
