Date & Time of Incident: 2/6/2022 at 4:37 PM
Location: 813 SE 50th St.
Victim: Yet to be positively identified
Arrested: Romero, Carina (W/F, DOB: 1/3/1995)
Narrative: Yesterday afternoon, OKCPD responded to a disturbance call at 813 SE 50th St. Arriving officers were met by Carina Romero in front of the residence. She had a two-year-old child with her, and she had blood on her person. Ms. Romero indicated that someone had killed a child inside of the residence. Ms. Romero then took the two-year-old child into the residence with her, closed the door and refused entry to the officers. Given the totality of the circumstances, officers forced entry into the residence and recovered the two-year-old child, who was unharmed.
Sadly, officers discovered what appeared to be a deceased child inside of the residence.
Ms. Romero was taken into custody and later booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a complaint of murder of a child. We will release the victim’s name one he has been positively identified.
