HOLIDAY MARKET OPEN DAILY THROUGH DEC 22
   Featuring over 45 vendors, live music and dazzling performances, culinary delights from our food truck village and an outdoor ice-skating rink! The New Rochelle Holiday Market takes pride in supporting MWBE businesses (Minority & Women-Owned Business Enterprises), with a special focus on New Rochelle businesses, makers, and entrepreneurs. Market hours are weekdays 4-8PM, weekends 12-8PM.
Free 2-hour holiday parking downtown Dec 1-31
In continuation of a holiday tradition and to promote holiday shopping in New Rochelle, enjoy two hours of free parking at the City Hall, Lawn Avenue, Library, Library South, North Avenue @Thruway, Prospect Street, and Union Avenue lots.
Free Holiday Market Parking at Transit Center Garage
Two hours of free parking is available on the rooftop deck of the New Rochelle Transit Center Garage for shoppers at the City’s Holiday Market at the New Rochelle Train Station, effective during market hours through Dec. 22, 2024, weekdays 4- 8PM and weekends 12- 8PM. Kids Roc'N New Year Party- December 31 at 11AM
Celebrate with us on Tuesday December 31st from 11am -12pm at Ryan Sinkfield Park, 18 Brook St. This free event for New Rochelle youth features music, hot cocoa bar, the Bubble Bus and a confetti countdown. For more information call the Parks & Recreation Department at 914-654-2087.

Westchester County Mobile Shredder at City Hall
Saturday, December 21 from (10:00AM -1:00pm at 515 North Ave, Behind City Hall) Shredding personal documents helps recycle paper and protect against identity theft. Westchester residents can bring up to four file-sized boxes of confidential papers to designated shredding events.
Services are offered on a first-come-first-served basis, and the mobile shredder may reach capacity before the event ends. For safety, residents must remain in their vehicles while staff handles the documents. No walk-ups are allowed. In case of extreme weather, events may be canceled or closed early; call the Recycling Helpline at (914) 813-5425 for updates.

NYS THRUWAY PRESS RELEASE
The next phase of the North Avenue Bridge replacement project in New Rochelle will begin on Tuesday, January 7, with modified traffic patterns. Southbound traffic will be detoured at Lockwood Avenue to allow for construction under Stage 2. Northbound traffic will use a single lane on the newly completed section of the bridge. The remaining portion of the bridge will be demolished and replaced as part of the $31.8 million project. Extended closures of the bridge will occur for demolition and steel installation. Fall Leaf collection continues through end of December
Fall leaves can be placed in biodegradable paper bags or open containers anytime for pickup. Yard waste will no longer be accepted.

PSA: No leaf piles!
Leaf piles in the street are NOT allowed and will not be collected. Leaf piles in streets block catch basins and create hazardous road conditions. It is against City Code for landscapers to blow leaves into the street or onto a City island.

NRPD Special Needs Registry program
The New Rochelle Police Department's new Special Needs Registry is aimed at improving communications and safety for individuals with special needs in our community.This voluntary registry allows families and caregivers to provide valuable information on challenges like mobility, communication, or mental health issues that will be readily available to Police Officers responding to a call for service.
