Description

Under direction of a Supervisor of Educational Programs 1 at the Marie H. Katzenbach School for the Deaf, plans and carries out a program to remedy the speech, language, or hearing needs of clients with handicaps, prescribes proper tests and procedures for therapy; participates in research projects; administers tests and evaluates speech or hearing performance; and performs other related work as required.

Requirements

Experience

Four (4) years of experience in applying the theory, principles, and techniques of speech-language therapy or audiology.

Certification

Applicants must possess a current and valid license as a Speech Pathologist/Audiologist issued by the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology
Advisory Committee, Division of Consumer Affairs, Department of Law and Public Safety.

Preferred Education/Experience

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology or related field; working with deaf, hard of hearing, and multiply disabled students ranging from ages 3-21; and possession of an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency.

Special Note (MKSD)

Note: Ability to communicate in American Sign Language preferred, or a commitment to learn American Sign Language in two (2) years.

Note: All final candidates must be fingerprinted and bear the $78.38 cost of the criminal history check in order to qualify for employment at the Marie H. Katzenbach School for the Deaf.

IBI Security Transport specializes in the transportation of high-value secure freight. IBI drivers provide white glove service to an exclusive customer base of top companies and government agencies in the U.S.  IBI is primarily a dry van company that does some temperature-controlled freight (no food products). We also do haul some bulk liquids in totes in our vans. Some of our cargo is lower level Haz-Mat, nothing extremely hazardous.
