SUMMER MEALS PROGRAM
Take a quick video tour with Officer Byron Lewin from Maplewood Police Dept. as he shines a light on our Maplewood Health Department and Community Support Center's (129 Boyden Ave.) Summer Meals program.
Running until August 14, this program offers free breakfast (9-10 am) and lunch (11:30am-1:30 pm) options to any Maplewood and South Orange children experiencing food insecurity. Your family does not have to be eligible for Free & Reduced Lunch or other state benefits to enjoy this program, but they must eat on site at the new Center (it is not a grab-and-go program).
Interested families should fill out a Summer Meals application on our Health Dept. website for each child who will participate. If you don't have access to a printer, stop by the Community Support Center at 129 Boyden Ave in Maplewood to get a hard copy. The Health Dept. team there can also help you fill out the form. Reach out to the Maplewood Health Department at healthdepartment@maplewoodnj.gov or 973.762.8120 x2007 with any questions.
