 Mercer County is conducing a third Public Information Center on the proposed Calhoun Street Extension improvement plan.
- When: Wednesday, June 25, 2025 5:30PM to 7:30PM
- Where: Donnelly Homes’ Gymnasium, 899 Southard St, Trenton
Road Work Alert: Main Boulevard
Beginning on or about Monday, June 16, 2025, Mercer County will begin milling and resurfacing Main Boulevard from Lower Ferry Road to Route 31. Work is expected to last approximately 10 business days, weather permitting.
Work Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday No Street Parking: Street parking is not permitted during construction hours to allow road crews full access. Road Closures: Main Boulevard will be closed to through traffic during work hours but will remain open to local residents, municipal, and emergency vehicles. Detours: Use Lower Ferry Road, Carlton Avenue, or Route 31. Normal traffic patterns will resume outside of work hours.
This project is part of Mercer County’s ongoing efforts to improve local roadways. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time.

Ewing High Yearbooks Wanted
Attention All Ewing High School Graduates 1954 - 2024!
Are you cleaning out your home this Spring and unsure what to do with a copy of your high school yearbook, titled Clyepsydra. Please consider donating it to the Ewing Township Historic Preservation Society Library. If you can donate, we are open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Wednesday, and have an Open House on the first Sunday of every month from 2 to 4 p.m. Our contact information is below.

Check your eligibility for NJ Property Tax Deduction
Do you know about New Jersey's Senior Citizens and Disabled Persons Property Tax Deduction in New Jersey? The program offers an annual property tax deduction of up to $250 for homeowners aged 65 or older or individuals with disabilities, provided they meet specific income and residency requirements. The income threshold is $10,000, but applicants may exclude one category—either federal Social Security benefits, federal pensions, or other Social Security payments—from the income calculation.
Senior Citizens, Disabled Persons: Annual deduction of up to $250 from property taxes for homeowners aged 65 or older or disabled who meet certain income and residency requirements. Income requirement – anticipated income for the tax year for which deduction is claimed will not exceed $10,000 after excluding ONE of the categories: The Federal Social Security Act, or Federal Pension, or Social Security Benefits.

RECREATION HAPPENINGS
New program registration system
Online registration for Ewing Recreation programs and activities is now available through the CivicPlus Recreation Management program. CivicPlus replaces Community Pass.
Ewing Force Girls' Flag Football
Registration is now open for the Ewing Force Flag Football Clinic for girls in grades 3 - 8. The clinic will be held on Sunday, July13, 2025 between 11 am - 1 pm and will be held at the Ewing High School Football Field, 900 Parkway Ave. The cost is $35 per participant, which includes a performance T-shirt. Participants should arrive by 10:30 a.m. for warm-ups.
Registration is available online at ewingnj.org/RecRegistration. All registrations must be made in advance. No walkup registrations will be permitted.
The Ewing Community Pools System offers two pools for seasonal members and daily patrons. Hollowbrook Pool located at 320 Hollowbrook Drive, is open Saturdays for private parties 1 to 5 p.m. and is open to the public 5 to 8 p.m. Operating hours for Sunday to Friday are 12 to 8 p.m. Email Raquel at rince@ewingnj.org to schedule an event. ESCC Pool located at 999 Lower Ferry Road is open daily from 12 to 8 p.m. Senior Swim & Water Aerobics (SSWA) is held at ESCC on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to noon Online registration for the season or SSWA at ewingnj.org/RecRegistration. Ewing residents can pay daily fees.

Register now for Summer Camp!
The Ewing Recreation Summer Camp will run from June 30 to Aug. 22 for children in grades 1–5. Camp is held at the Ewing Senior and Community Center (ESCC), with Fisher Middle School serving as a rain location. Camp hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Early care is available from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., and after care runs from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
The Teen Travel Camp, for grades 6–8, also runs from June 30 to Aug. 15. It features four travel days per week, with one day spent in Ewing. Participants may join the day camp during weeks Teen Travel is not offered. Online registration is required at ewingnj.org/RecRegistration.

Young Entrepreneurs wanted for fall academy
Know a student who’s always dreaming up business ideas or creative projects? The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) is looking for driven, motivated students in grades 9 - 12 for its Fall 2025 class. This 30-week program turns big ideas into real businesses, with classes held once a week starting in October.
