Serendipity Exhibit Series Closes with Art, Community & Giving Back
Two recent art exhibits sponsored by the Ewing Arts Commission have reached a successful conclusion. From January through April 2025, Serendipity Parts 1 and 2 have graced the halls of our Municipal Building. Three Ewing-born-and-raised women returned by invitation to show their artwork over the four-month period. Janet McLaughlin, Linda Robinson and Ellen Wylie Smith collectively hung over 65 pieces of original artwork that included watercolor, oil, and acrylics.
The two Opening Receptions welcomed over 75 attendees. In the spirit of giving back to their hometown, all artists pledged to donate a portion of their sales to Ewing’s animal shelter, EASEL. Ewing Mayor Bert Steinmann, Ewing Council President Jennifer Keyes-Maloney, Ewing Business Administrator Aaron Watson, former EAC chair, Mel Antler, and current co-chairs, Beverly Keese-Kelley and Mary Lou Byer were on hand for the presentation to Deborah Robinson, Director of Development for EASEL.
The Ewing Arts Commission and Art Has No Boundaries partnered in 2018 to establish a monthly art installation on the second floor of the Ewing Municipal Building. Please check the Ewing Arts Commission’s website and social media pages for more information on EAC’s Featured Artist Program and upcoming shows.

We Need Your Help: Keep Yard Waste Clean and Green!
Ewing residents, you play a big role in helping us recycle yard waste into useful, eco-friendly products like mulch and compost. But we need your help to keep it clean!
Only organic plant matter belongs in yard waste collections — things like branches, twigs, and leaves. No plastic bags, trash, containers, or other debris. These contaminants ruin the load and could send it to the landfill instead of being recycled into natural materials we can all benefit from.
🌿 Brush and yard trimmings = mulch 🍁 Leaves = compost 🟢 Grass clippings = should be left on your lawn (grasscycling) or bagged and placed with your regular trash — not with brush or leaves.
Let’s work together to keep our community clean and green. Clean loads = better results for everyone!
Thank you for doing your part.
