Superintendent Hedalen Launches New Feedback Portal to Improve Quality and Impact of Indian Education for All
Helena, MT — The Montana Office of Public Instruction (OPI) is proud to announce the launch of a new Indian Education for All (IEFA) Feedback Portal, now available on the OPI website. This new online platform was created in accordance with Senate Bill 181, sponsored by Senator Jonathan Windy Boy, which requires the OPI to collect and address community feedback to improve the quality of American Indian studies in Montana schools. We thank Senator Windy Boy for his leadership and continued commitment to improving education for all Montana students.
The OPI invites educators, families, tribal members, and community partners to share their experiences, insights, and suggestions through the portal. Your feedback is essential to shaping the future of Indian Education for All, ensuring that curriculum, resources, and support reflect the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Montana’s tribal nations.
“Community input matters,” said Superintendent Hedalen “By working together and listening to our communities, we can strengthen our education system and honor the diversity that makes Montana unique.”
Feedback collected through the portal will be used in collaboration with tribal nations and educational partners to continuously improve IEFA in every classroom across the state.
