Superintendent Elsie Arntzen’s Educator Licensure System Ready for Public Release on June 1, 2022
HELENA – Superintendent Elsie Arntzen is proud to announce that the new educator licensure system, TeachMontana (TMT) will be available for use on June 1, 2022. This new system adds flexibility and efficiency to the licensing process. Teachers will be able to automatically import licensing documents and a licensing certificate will be generated immediately.
“A teacher’s plate is full. This new advanced professional system will save teachers time,” said Superintendent Arntzen. “Our Montana teachers deserve a licensing system that meets their needs so they can focus on student learning. This new system is elevating the teaching profession.”
The new system will include easier access to application status, a more initiative-guided application process, and easier communication for both the user and licensure specialists. TMT will be able to support more than triple the number of users as the old system. This upgrade will provide an easier path for future educators to consider Montana their home, and existing educators the opportunity to plan their professional development with enhanced tools and options for their future in Montana.
