Reminder: MSC Spring Meeting on Friday, May 8, from 1-3 pm
The MSC Spring Member Meeting will be on Friday, May 8, from 1-3 pm. The meeting will be held online via Zoom. Meeting materials and the Zoom link are posted to the ASPeN event page. Meeting materials include a draft budget with cost share document, and budget memo. Please take the time to review those materials prior to the meeting.
Member meetings are open meetings, and all interested are encouraged to attend. Minimally, one member from your library or district is required to attend. Action items include budget approval.

System Downtime - May 8th
SirsiDynix will be performing system maintenance that will affect all of our Sirsi products, including Workflows, Enterprise, and BCMobile, on May 8th at midnight for approximately 5 hours. MSC Admins will post a notice on Enterprise informing patrons before the maintenance.
This maintenance is in preparation for a SirsiDynix server move, so we expect Workflows, SymphonyWeb, and Enterprise to be completely unavailable during this time. The BCMobile app may still be available but some features and functionality will not be accessible due to the backend server downtime. On Friday, we expect the BLUEcloud Analytics (BCA) data load to also be delayed and impact report subscriptions for that day. MSC Admins will work with the vendor to send updated subscriptions once the data load is completed. Workflows notice emails and other reports may also be delayed.
New MSC Trainer
We are pleased to announce that we have filled our MSC Trainer Position. Lora Poser-Brown will be starting with the Montana State Library on June 1st. Lora has been working as the Library Media Specialist at the Lewistown Public Schools, and in the past has worked in a public library and as a school teacher. We know that her experience and background in both libraries and education will make her a great addition to the MSC team!
Enterprise Upgrade to 5.2.1.7 Scheduled for May 18th at 9 pm
SirsiDynix will be upgrading Enterprise to version 5.2.1.7 on Monday, 5/18, at 9:00 pm MDT. This upgrade is to update Enterprise’s accessibility features to make it compliant with the WCAG 2.1 requirements.
Enterprise will be unavailable for approximately 3 hours. MSC Admins will post a notice on Enterprise informing patrons before the upgrade.

The MSC dashboard on the MSL website has been updated!

A recording of the latest quarterly webinar on the item life cycle is available on both MSL Learn and the MSL YouTube channel.
For Credit: MSL Learn
Enroll in MSL Learn courses, and complete the activities and evaluation to earn credit toward certification.
MSL Learn badges represent credits and completion of courses. There's no need to log credits in ASPeN when you take these online courses. An OKTA account is your credential to login to MSL Learn.

MSC Office Hours - Tuesday, May 5th
Join us Tuesday, 5/5, at either 10 am or 2 pm for MSC Office Hours. We will be available the whole hour to troubleshoot specific issues, help brainstorm how to get a new project started, or answer any questions you may have! Drop in for a few minutes or stay for the whole time.
