MSC Staff Update - Farewell to Melody
Melody Karle will be leaving the Montana Shared Catalog Admin team.
She has taken a new position as the Dean of Library and Learning Innovation at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, Oregon. Her last day working with the MSC will be Wednesday, July 23.
We have been so fortunate to have Melody on the team and here in Montana; she's a wonderful friend and colleague, and her skill and dedication have been incredible assets to the MSC! We will miss her and wish her the best, with many thanks for everything she has done during her time here.
Volume Sort when Placing Holds in Enterprise
Starting this week patrons will see an update to how dates sort in the dropdown list when they place holds in Enterprise. Years will now sort in reverse order with the newest date first. This will be noticeable for materials such as yearbooks or annuals that have a year entered in the call number analytic. Although many of these materials are now on separate bib records, for those that remain on a single bib the most recent year will be the first selection in the dropdown.
As a result of this, if there are some items on one bib that have a call number analytic and items some that do not, the ‘blank’ volume selection will now sort at the bottom of the list. Volumes without dates should still sort in numeric order.

MSC Office Hours - Friday, July 18th
Join us Friday, 7/18 at either 10 am or 2 pm for MSC Office Hours. We will be available the whole hour to troubleshoot specific issues, help brainstorm how to get a new project started, or answer any questions you may have! Drop in for a few minutes or stay for the whole time.
