Winter Wheat Digital Exhibit
Teacher Kate Lende from our 2024 Teacher Workshop developed this digital exhibit to provide context for the real world events happening during the timeframe of the novel Winter Wheat by Mildred Walker. You can see photos and documents on this exhibit tracing the root of real world events in Montana in the first part of the 20th century.

Additional UM Digitized Photo Albums
We now have a total of 6 digitized photo albums from the collection of Joseph B. Halm held at University of Montana Mansfield Library. They focus on Halm's work with the Forest Service at the beginning of the 20th century, with excellent coverage of the Great Fire of 1910. UM staff have taken great care to tag each photo in these albums, making browsing and searching a breeze. We hope you will take a look at this excellent collection.
