Montana Geospatial Information Advisory Council to Meet

Members of the public who wish to share public comments on an agenda item or matter that is within the jurisdiction of the Montana Geospatial Information Advisory Council may submit the comment by April 19 at noon here: https://forms.office.com/g/BmC10CWCtQ
Comments may also be submitted in person or on Zoom during the meeting.
The Montana Geospatial Information Advisory Council was established by statute through the Montana Geospatial Information Act with the purpose of advising the state library on geospatial information systems, geographic information and geospatial technologies; prioritization of geospatial information development priorities, reviewing the geospatial information plan, provide recommendations for a geospatial information granting process; promote coordination of programs, policies, technologies and resources; advocate for development of consistent polices, standards and guidelines for geographic information systems, geospatial information, and geospatial technologies.. Members of the Council represent state agencies, county or municipal governments, federal government, private business, tribal government interests, Montana university system, Montana association of GIS Professionals, and Montana association of registered land surveyors.
