Montana History Portal LEGO Challenge
We are just over a week away from our first LEGO program, to be held December 9 at Lewis & Clark Library in Helena. We have 40 contestants signed up so far, but we still have room for those who want to enter. You have a choice of building at home with your own LEGO bricks, or coming in the morning of the event to build with Library bricks. We will be giving away tons of great LEGO kits as prizes, and hope to see you there! Entry details here.

New University of Montana Photos
We added 30 new photos this week from the University of Montana Mansfield Library. They focus on the aftermath of forest fires, in particular the devastating 1910 fire that raged through 3 million acres in Montana and Idaho, including the town of Grand Forks, Idaho. A tent village set up in what used to be Grand Forks can be seen at right. You can take a look at these photos, as well as previous images of this fire uploaded by the Library here.
