World Suicide Prevention Day

Health in the 406

World Suicide Prevention Day

  • The suicide rate among children (aged 10 to 17 years) in Montana was nearly three times higher than the national child suicide rate from 2013 to 2022.
  • Suicide is preventable. Educate yourself about suicide, the warning signs, and what steps you can take to support someone struggling with mental-health issues from the World Suicide Prevention Toolkit.
  • Anyone who is in crisis and wants help should call, text, or chat the Montana Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988. It’s available 24/7.
