Work is underway on the Johnson St Infrastructure (GI) Restoration project, which include the boulevards along Johnson Street NE between 18th Avenue and Lowry Avenue.
The City’s contractor started on Monday, June 16th, and will be finished by Friday, July 11th. During the work, Johnson St will remain open to traffic, however the sidewalk/bike trail will be closed on the side of the street where the work is occurring.

The City of Minneapolis is working on repairing streetlight outages that have been cause by copper wire theft. Currently, St Anthony Parkway streetlights are in the process of being repaired and should be fixed soon.
With dangerously high temperatures expected through the weekend, City of Minneapolis officials urge you to take steps to protect your family and pets from extreme heat. An extreme heat warning begins at noon on Saturday and goes through Sunday at 9 p.m.
Heat-related illness happens when the body can’t cool itself properly. Older adults, small children, people with underlying medical conditions, and pets are at greatest risk.

The 311 Call Center will be open to take calls during the Twin Cities Pride Festival and Taste of Minnesota. You’ll be able to call 311 or 612-673-3000 for non-emergency assistance and to report issues to the City.

Signed into law July 26, 1990, the ADA is a critical civil rights law for people with disabilities. The law bans discrimination in all aspects of public life. This includes discrimination in City programs, services and buildings.
This anniversary celebration honors the importance of this law and the local leaders who have improved countless lives in and around the city. The City recognizes the important role the ADA plays in making life more accessible for people in Minneapolis.
