June 29, 2024 (Minneapolis) On June 28th, at approximately 10:55 p.m., officers from the 4th Precinct responded to a ShotSpotter activation and multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting on the 3500 block of Penn Av N. Officers located a man in his 50’s with life threatening gunshot wounds sitting in a vehicle. Officers provided immediate medical aid until the arrival of EMS and Fire personnel. Despite all lifesaving efforts, the male died at the scene.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the name of the man along with the cause and manner of death.
Homicide investigators are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
MPD Forensic Scientists responded and processed the scene.
No arrests have been made.
