June 1, 2024 (Minneapolis) Police chief Brian O’Hara said Fourth Precinct Officers responded to a call that someone was shot in the 3500 block of Penn Ave N Saturday evening. O’Hara said the officers arrived and found an adult male on the sidewalk with life-threatening gunshot wounds. Officers rendered medical aid until paramedics arrived. The male was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the name of the man along with the cause and manner of death.
Homicide investigators are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
MPD forensic scientists responded and processed the scene.
No arrests have been made.
