Man killed in Thursday-afternoon shooting.

April 11, 2024 (Minneapolis): Fourth-Precinct officers responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of Glenwood Ave. and Cedar Lake Rd. N at 4:23 p.m. At the scene, officers located a 23-year-old man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound inside a vehicle. Responding officers performed life-saving measures until being relieved by emergency medical services. EMS transported the injured man to Hennepin County Medical Center where he later died.

Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooing.

There have been no arrests.

The GO number is 24-094064.

Forensic scientists from the Minneapolis Police Forensic Division responded to process the scene and collect evidence. Homicide detectives responded to begin an investigation.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the man’s name and the cause and nature of his death.
