February 16, 2024 (Minneapolis): At approximately 10:20 on Friday evening, First-Precinct officers responded to reports of a dead body in a vacant residential building on the 1500 block of Park Ave. Inside the building, officers located the body of an unidentified man with a fatal gunshot wound.
Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death. There have been no arrests.
The GO number is 24-041535.
Forensic scientists from the Minneapolis Police Forensic Division responded to process the scene and collect evidence. Homicide detectives responded to begin an investigation.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the man’s name and the cause and nature of his death.
