February 14, 2024 (Minneapolis): Minneapolis Police officers from the 4th Precinct responded to a homicide at approximately 1:17 a.m. today after a ShotSpotter activation near the intersection of Emerson Ave N and W Broadway. Officers located an unidentified man with life-threatening injuries and rendered immediate lifesaving measures. The man died at the scene.
There have been no arrests.

Forensic scientists from the Minneapolis Police Forensic Division responded to process the scene and collect evidence. Homicide detectives responded to begin an investigation.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the man’s name along with the cause and manner of his death.
