February 6, 2024 (Minneapolis): At approximately 12:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Minneapolis Police Department officers from the Fourth Precinct responded to a shooting outside a gas station at 2600 W Broadway Ave. Officers arriving at the scene found a 23-year-old man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound in the alley behind the gas station. Officers performed life-saving maneuvers, but despite best efforts, emergency medical technicians pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Preliminary information indicates the shooting happened after a verbal altercation escalated into violence.
There have been no arrests.

Forensic scientists from the Minneapolis Police Forensic Division responded to process the scene and collect evidence. Homicide detectives responded to begin an investigation.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the man’s name and the cause and nature of his death.
