Station 73 TRIP Project Update – October 23
Construction of the Station 73 TRIP project continues to progress. Underground utility work is nearing completion, and concrete and asphalt paving has been completed throughout large portions of the project. Construction is anticipated to be completed in the fall, with additional updates provided as the project nears completion.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 26, construction will begin on a traffic control change at the South Shore Drive and North Frontage Road intersection. Crews will begin constructing a center median that will permanently change the intersection from full access to right-in/right-out access which will have the following restrictions:
-
Right-in: Drivers can only turn right from South Shore Drive onto the North Frontage Road.
-
Right-out: Drivers can only turn right out of the North Frontage Road onto South Shore Drive.
-
Prohibited movements: Left turns, U-turns, and driving straight across South Shore Drive are prohibited.
The city extends its thanks to all impacted residents, businesses and motorists for their patience during the project.
