I'd like to draw your attention to a great example of Hennepin Good Steward dollars in action--True Friends is the recipient of a $21,542 grant for their native habitat restoration work at Camp Eden Wood in Eden Prairie. I'm always thrilled to see the results of partnership between community members, stakeholders, and local governments, and I'm grateful to True Friends for their commitment to maintaining native habitats. 🌳 Natural Resources Good Steward Grant in Action

Good Steward Grant

Hennepin County's Natural Resources Good Steward grant was awarded True Friends for its native habitat restoration work at Camp Eden Wood in Eden Prairie. The $21,542 grant was awarded to True Friends in March, along with seven other recipients of the Grant.

True Friends leases 7.5 acres of Camp Eden Wood from its owner, Eden Prairie, offering space for camping, respite, retreats, and team building programs for up to 80 people. I am grateful to True Friends and camp Eden Wood for their long-term goal of maintaining, improving, and protecting native habitats, and all of the thoughtful, intentional work they do in partnership with the surrounding communities to carry this out.
