DHS announces Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behaviorial Therapy (TF-CBT) training for mental health professionals

The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) is announcing a free training on Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for qualified participants. TF-CBT is an evidence-based psychotherapy approach designed to treat post-traumatic stress and related emotional and behavioral difficulties in children and adolescents.

Mental health professionals will gain a comprehensive understanding of TF-CBT and its application in therapy through four days of training and 14 consultations. The first two days of the training (basic sessions) will take place in person, while the second two days of the training (advanced sessions) will take place via Zoom. Each day will include a morning, afternoon and lunch break.

For more information on TF-CBT certification, visit tfcbt.org.
