The Department of Human Services (DHS) is announcing a series of upcoming American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) training opportunities specifically designed for Minnesota substance use disorder (SUD) treatment providers.
The training focuses on utilizing the ASAM Criteria to develop assessments, individualized treatment plans and documentation, ensuring that organizations adhere to best practices for ASAM-aligned, person-centered care. Additional ASAM-related trainings will be provided throughout 2025.
The training will be conducted by Train for Change, experts in equipping staff with the necessary tools to effectively implement the ASAM Criteria.

Trainings are in high demand and fill up quickly. If your plans change and you are unable to attend, we kindly ask that you cancel your registration to allow others the opportunity to participate. To unenroll, please log into your Train for Change account. Navigate to the dashboard and find your list of registered events. Under the list, select the red 'Unenroll from Event' button.
The training is free of charge for SUD providers in Minnesota.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be available for participants who successfully complete the entire training. More information regarding CEUs will be provided during the sessions
