Additional Direct Access, DAANES, Billing, and OO Eligibility Trainings

DHS Behavioral Health Division has scheduled the following training sessions related to Direct Access to Substance Use Disorder treatment services.

  • Course CH101I: MMIS Behavioral Health Funds Application

This course is designed for Minnesota counties and Tribal Nation staff only who will be working with the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) to establish service agreements for Client Placement Authorizations (CPA). The training will cover how to enter a Mini “OO” span for clients who choose Direct Access to have service and who are eligible for Behavioral Health Funds for Substance Use Disorder Treatment.

  • October 16:     10AM-12PM
  • November 20: 10AM-12PM
  • December 18: 10AM-12PM

  • Direct Access and DAANES Data Entry  
  • This training is for SUD treatment service providers, including counties and tribes, to learn how DAANES fits into Direct Access and the updated data entry process. Pick from these 9 one hour training sessions:
    • October 19:     9-10 AM          12-1 PM         3-4 PM
    • October 20:     7-8 AM           10-11 PM        2-3 PM
    • October 21:     9-10 AM
    • October 22:     2-3   PM
  • October 23:     9-10 AM

  • Billing Process for Direct Access

This training is for SUD treatment service providers to learn how to appropriately submit claims for SUD services.

  • October 14:        10:30AM-12:00PM
  • October 19:        8:30AM-10:00AM

  • Establishing an “OO span”- LATE OCTOBER 2020
  • This training is for county and Tribal staff to learn how to establish an “OO” span. It is specifically for clients who choose Direct Access to SUD services and who are determined eligible for Consolidated Chemical Dependency Treatment Fund/Integrated Behavioral Health Fund (CCDTF/IBHF).

Registration is not required for this course. A link will be provided just prior to the actual training date to access the WebEx training.
