Information about ADAD training can be found on the TrainLink website at www.dhs.state.mn.us/TrainLink.  TrainLink provides information on unique keys, maps to DHS training locations, and access to a variety of Student Centers.

By selecting the “Alcohol and Drug Abuse Learning Center,” one can view information on upcoming classroom training, videoconferences, and web-based learning opportunities and register for training.

Participants can register for these courses online and take them at any time.

Introduction to MMIS (CH100)

This course will introduce users to the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) and will focus on navigation and inquiry into the most commonly used subsystems of MMIS for the Consolidated Chemical Dependency Treatment Fund (CCDTF).  Participants will receive information through an online curriculum and hands-on use of the MMIS system.  This course is required prior to registering for CCDTF MMIS Application Course (CH101i).

SCHEDULED WEBINAR TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

Participants can register for these courses online and take them as they are available.  Currently, ADAD is announcing the following available dates for Webinar classes.

 

CCDTF MMIS Applications (CH101i - CH100 is a prerequisite for enrollment in Ch101i)

This course will introduce users to MMIS and will focus on navigation and inquiry into the most commonly used subsystems of MMIS for the CCDTF.  Participants will also learn how to enter Client Placement Authorizations (CPA) into the Prior Authorization and Third Party Liability (TPL) subsystems.  Participants will receive information through lecture, simulated case examples, and hands-on use of the MMIS system.  CCDTF policy is not covered in this course.  CH100: Introduction to MMIS is required prior to registering for this class (see below).

Target Audience 

County/Tribal staff new to working with MMIS and the CCDTF CPAs.  This may include support staff, accounting staff, assessors, CCDTF coordinators, supervisors or others that may enter or change service agreements in MMIS.

SUD REFORM PHASE 1 SERVICE AGREEMENTS (SUD101)

This course is designed to bring clarity to the service agreement entry of new services provided in phase 1 of the SUD Reform process. At conclusion of this class participants will understand the coding structure, those codes that can and cannot be used together, the differences between residential and outpatient services, as well as have an opportunity to ask questions.

Since SUD101 trainings are open to anyone and available without prior enrollment, you will NOT be granted access to the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) with the completion of this class.

For more detailed information about the entry of service agreements please enroll and complete the CH100 and CH101i courses. Only after CH100 and CH101i have been completed will MMIS access be granted.

As we move closer to Phase 2 of our SUD Reform we will be sending additional notices of upcoming trainings that will cover how phase 2 will affect your entry of service agreements. Please stay tuned for further information.
