Treatment Coordination Training

Minnesota Statutes, 245G.11, subdivision 7, paragraph a, clause 3, requires 30 hours of classroom instruction on SUD treatment coordination for an individual with substance use disorder as a treatment coordinator provider qualification.

Note: Statute identifies this service as “care” coordination; however, this service is being approved by CMS as “treatment coordination” and going forward should be referred to as such.

There are several groups providing a 30 hour training on treatment coordination at present, including schools and private training entities. However, there is not a specific training that is “state approved."  We encourage attendees and trainers to verify that the relevant components from 245G.07 and 245G.11 described in statute are contained in the training.
