VILLAGE OF HOLLY

NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL OFFICES REOPENING TO PUBLIC

WITH RESTRICTIONS

Monday, June 22, 2020

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the Village of Holly Municipal offices will reopen to the public on Monday, June 22, 2020. We will resume our normal business hours of Monday – Thursday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, however the office will adhere to the following safety guidelines:

Anyone needing to enter the Village Offices will be required to wear a mask/face covering. There will be signage to maintain 6-foot social distancing while in the hallway. Only one customer will be allowed to enter the Village Offices at a time.

The only area of the building that is reopening, is the Village Offices. The Holly Area Schools are not adjusting any of their building restrictions at this time. There will still be no meetings, no open gym, and no public restrooms in the Karl Richter Center.

While the offices are open, we are still encouraging residents to use all of the alternate measures that were put in place during this pandemic. We are allowing entry to conduct business in person, but we still recommend using our drop box, on line payment system and phone calls or emails for assistance whenever possible.

My staff and I appreciate you taking these preventative measures when entering our office. We have also installed safety shields on our counter to protect both the staff and the residents.

Governor Whitmer Rescinds Safer at Home Order, Moves Michigan to Phase Four of the MI Safe Start Plan

Yesterday, Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed Executive Order 2020-110, rescinding her Safer at Home order and moving the entire state to phase four of the MI Safe Start Plan

  • The governor’s order will allow retailers to reopen on June 4 and restaurants to reopen on June 8, both subject to capacity limits. Day camps for children will likewise be permitted to open on June 8. Salons will be opening June 15.  Effective immediately, groups of 100 or less will be allowed gather outdoors with social distancing. Office work that is not capable of being performed remotely can resume. And in-home services, including housecleaning services, can resume operations.
  • Michiganders must continue to wear facial coverings when in enclosed public spaces and should continue to take all reasonable precautions to protect themselves, their loved ones, and the community. And they should continue to work from home to the maximum extent possible.
  • Subject to local regulation, gyms and fitness centers may conduct outdoor classes, practices, training sessions, or games, provided that coaches, spectators, and participants maintain six feet of distance from one another during these activities. Outdoor pools can also reopen, with restricted capacity.
