The State Land Bank Authority is pleased to present the biennial report covering the years 2021 and 2022. Through collaboration with local communities, county land banks and other state agencies, the State Land Bank team serves as a pro-active, problem-solving partner to catalyze development across our great state. This report will summarize our efforts over the last two years.
Since the completion of this report, we've welcomed four new local land banks into the State of Michigan land banking community in Barry, Alpena, Gratiot and Mason Counties. Michigan now has 51 county land banks and one city land bank. We also continue to work diligently on blight elimination efforts funded by the legislature in the last budget cycle. That includes addressing statewide projects and working with our partners to address local problem properties.
The State Land Bank Authority has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Compliance Consultant to assist in implementing best practices for federal award management of coronavirus state and local fiscal recovery funds.
The Compliance Consultant selected will provide expert level knowledge, insight and guidance on the administration, reporting and compliance related to the Blight Elimination Program. All submissions are due on Sept. 1 by 5 p.m.
