What's happening Downtown?

City Council approvals:

  • A resolution opposing the US Department of Commerce’s decision to add a citizenship question to the 2020 Census.
  • An ordinance which makes it clear that minors are not allowed to buy or possess air guns.
  • A resolution to approve an application and licensing fee for medical marijuana facilities under the City’s voter-approved ordinance. For a list of legally operating facilities in Detroit, click here. Law enforcement continues against illegally operating facilities.
  • A resolution in support of Michigan House Bill 5524, which would require the Michigan Department of Education to develop professional development training for teachers on how to deliver mental health first aid.
