What's Happening Downtown?

  • This week, City Council enjoyed a much deserved spring recess! Committee meetings will resume this Monday, April 9.
  • The new City of Detroit Office of Sustainability seeks to improve quality of life by facilitating healthy, green, vibrant, accessible neighborhoods, homes, and businesses. They are looking to hire sustainability ambassadors to help engage residents and community groups, and will pay up to $750 for your time. Apply here by April 18.
  • Help the Department of Public Works develop traffic calming initiatives by identifying streets where you see speeding cars and trucks: 313-224-1610.
