VFC Annual Training Requirement

Commissioner Lambrew letterhead

To: Maine Immunization Program Providers

From: Maine Immunization Program

Subject: VFC Annual Training Requirement

Date: October 4, 2022

In early spring, the Maine Immunization Program sent out a communication requiring that all primary and secondary vaccine coordinators complete the Vaccines for Children training. This is an annual requirement for those who are assigned to these roles in their provider agreement.

The training became available on our website on July 1, 2022 and providers were asked to complete the training by October 1, 2022 to avoid interruption in their ability to order. At this time, any site that is not up-to-date with the training requirement will be shut off from ordering until the training has been completed.

The training and post-test are both located on the following webpage: Annual Education Requirement |
Immunization | MeCDC | Maine DHHS. Once the training has been reviewed, the post-test will need to be completed in order to receive credit.

If you have any questions, please contact the Maine Immunization Program at (207) 287-3746 or
