New Maine Geologic Fact and Locality Available
Join Maine Mineral and Gem Museum Curator Myles Felch for a geologic tour of Round Mountain in Albany Township. This short (but steep) hike is worth the effort as hikers are rewarded with excellent landscape views and interesting geology. The trail traverses granite and granitic pegmatite bedrock, and hikers can explore boulder caves at the “Rock Castle.”
