Hello Neighbors,
Thank you to all who were able to join us for the 2022 Legislative Year in Review Virtual Town Hall event this past Tuesday. It was great to share with you what we have accomplished during my first 10 months in office and what's to come in the year ahead. If you missed us, you may view the Virtual Town Hall HERE.
As 2022 ends, I wish you and your family a happy holiday season and a happy new year! It has been a pleasure serving District 8 during this Legislative Year, and I am excited to connect with you all in January!

District 8 in the Community
Last week, in the Sunset Room at National Harbor, the County Council conducted its Annual Retreat! We were briefed on several key issues facing the County to ensure that we are ready to take action to support all Prince Georgians. We received several informative presentations during work sessions over the two days (the third day is being rescheduled due to weather-related cancellation), including the County's Financial Overview with the Budget and Fiscal Outlook; Business Development Tools and Incentives; Real Estate Development and Affordable Housing; Minority Business Enterprises; and Labor Interests. Thank you to everyone who made the Council Retreat possible and all the presenters who ensured our incoming Council is equipped with the necessary information to make important decisions for our County. It's always great getting to host my Council colleagues in District 8!
I enjoyed speaking at the MGM National Harbor Annual Outreach Event and meeting with many minority business owners in the County. Congratulations to all who were honored for their contributions to the County! I look forward to continuing to uplift our minority businesses in Prince George's County!
