With the announcement of the federal government shutdown, my administration, in partnership with our county, state, and federal partners, is focused on meeting the needs of County residents who may be immediately impacted by the shutdown, such as residents whose access to services may be affected, and others in need of temporary support during the shutdown. The shutdown will affect federal employees and contractors who live in Prince George’s County, their loved ones, and their families.   

I’ve called for all-hands-on-deck from Prince George’s County Government. Agencies and community partners are ready to support residents impacted by the shutdown. We have begun identifying resources, services, and facts that may assist Prince Georgians in navigating the duration of the federal government shutdown.

Resources for Furloughed Federal Employees are located at: mypgc.us/fedgovshutdown. Assistance in obtaining resources is also available to those who call 2-1-1 or 301-864-7130. Mental health support services are available to those who call 9-8-8. All other county-related inquiries and requests can be made by calling 3-1-1.
